Overview
CutNesting turns stock dimensions, required parts, quantities, kerf, and cutting constraints into practical layouts that can be reviewed before material reaches the shop floor. The product supports both one-dimensional cut planning and two-dimensional nesting while keeping each workflow focused on the terminology its users already know.
Instead of asking users to learn a generic mathematical optimizer, the experience is organized around real jobs: wood cut lists, steel fabrication, linear stock, and sheet or plate nesting.
The challenge
A mathematically valid layout is not enough. Workshop users need to account for blade width, cutting allowance, available stock, leftovers, part labels, and machine realities. They also need to understand the result without decoding a dense optimization report.
